High Styrene Rubber (HSR)

Product Overview

High Styrene Rubber (HSR) is a specialized variety of styrene-butadiene rubber characterized by its high styrene content. It is a non-polar polymer prepared through emulsion copolymerization of styrene and butadiene monomers. HSR is also known as hard rubber due to its enhanced hardness properties compared to conventional styrene-butadiene rubber.

Chemical Structure: —[CH₂—CH=CH—CH₂]ₘ—[(C₆H₅)—CHCH₂]ₙ—

Physical Appearance: White granular particles

Characteristics: Non-toxic, odorless, combustible

Heat Distortion Temperature: 70-90°C
