Phenolic Resin Specifications

Product Overview

Phenolic resins are thermosetting polymers formed by the condensation reaction of phenol or substituted phenols with formaldehyde. These versatile materials exhibit exceptional thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength, making them indispensable in various industrial applications. The resins demonstrate excellent adhesion properties, low water absorption, and superior dimensional stability under elevated temperatures.

As heat-reactive cross-linking agents, phenolic resins play a crucial role in rubber processing, adhesive formulations, and coating systems. Their ability to form three-dimensional networks through curing reactions provides enhanced performance characteristics including improved heat resistance, reduced compression set, and excellent aging properties. The methylol-functional groups present in these resins enable efficient cross-linking with elastomeric substrates, resulting in superior mechanical and thermal performance.
